I have broke my phone screen and wanted to get repaired under my Vodafone insurance. They asked me to pay an excess of $200 even this is my first claim after 20 months I insured my device. In the policy it has has mentioned that the excess will be charged for the second claim within 12 months, but they will find a loophole to claim the money they spent for repair. I have declined the payment and asked to returned the phone unprepared. I am strongly suggest that it is a waste of money if you want to insure your phone with Vodafone Insurance.

Call handlers seem to be lacking in basic common sense.

Had to explain several times that my phone was lost for good since I lost it in another city that I do not plan to return to soon. but the lady kept insisting she would block the phone until i found it, which caused issues further down the line.

Had to go on a wait list because they didn’t have my phone in stock and my phone was the only one where they could offer an alternative (sounded like hogwash to me). they tookt he wrong number to contact me on. This happened several times and i had to keep calling them. Waiting for the phone to come back in stock took so long that I wasn’t happy paying for a contract that i couldn’t use, I called them and as if by magic, one became available that instant! It arrived quickly, I’ll give them that – but the sim card they gave me wasn’t registered to my account! i don’t know what planet they are on, but why send out a sim card to a customer and not register it to their account??? Took me longer than it should have to convince the call handler that it was a sim you guys sent to me, not one I had purchased myself. I then had to wait several more days for another sim, which was BLOCKED on arrival! Due to the first lady i spoke to who kept insisting that sim card should be blocked on my account in case I found my phone! So there was another phone call i shouldn’t have had to have made. It was an absolute farse for something that is not that difficult. Please Vodafone, hire staff with common sense!

I have submitted a claim for a lost/stolen mobile phone. Vodafone have referred me to Lifestyle insurance who are now investigating the claim, without any explanation or timescale for a replacement phone. In my opinion, I have done everything required by the insurance including contacting the police, retracing my steps, looking for the phone on Findmyiphone and contacting the restaurant I was in prior to losing/having the phone stolen. I am being made to feel like a criminal and have done nothing wrong. I am disabled and need my phone to stay safe. I have no idea when or even if I will be sent a replacement handset. I have been with Vodafone for almost twenty years and this is the first insurance claim I have made. The service is disgraceful.

Lovely to see Vodafone taking so much time on their F1 sponsorships but beware if you actually want the company to offer a mobile phone service then they don’t care!!! Do not bother with Vodafone Business Insurance it is a waste of time. Orange offer immediate replacement if the phone is broken. Vodafone have taken two weeks to sort out my broken phone and have pushed me from pillar to post in trying to get a simple answer. Customer Service has been a major fail. Where other companies say “No Problem Sir/Madam” Vodafone seems to have a policy of the “customers is always in the wrong” and they seem to try to cut corners and offer the poorest service the can get away with. The insurance is run by an external company who have no procedure for complaints – apparently. The repairs are done – guess what – by an external company who you cannot speak with. If Lewis Hamilton got this sort of service he wouldn’t get out of the pits. Perhaps if you spent more time on your customers and less time patting the back of your own marketing department then your reputation would be a little better than it is. All I can say is I am off to Orange as soon as I can leave this contract.
