    I made a claim on my pet insurance at the beginning of July. As I had heard nothing I contacted More Than in mid-August to chase this up but was told by More Than that they needed to check some details. Why I hadn’t been contacted for this information I don’t know, but I was told that it was all fine and that payment would be with me shortly. At the end of August, I contacted them again and was told cheque on its way. Contacted them again 6th Sept to be told they had made an error with the cheque and it hadn’t been sent out, told another cheque was being raised, and would be on its way. Guess what…..18th Sept contacted More Than again to be assured cheque would be with me Friday 20th Today!! at the very latest……. Don’t think I need to say anymore – still not received cheque. This is beyond a joke, what happened to ” we pay out within 7 – 10 days”?…I shall not be recommending More Than or using them again.

    We are a policy holder with More Than, which is owned by Royal and Sun Alliance,we always pay our premiums on time, but be aware when you need to claim their service is apalling. After 6 weeks without a bath they have now decided to tell us our Builders quote is too expensive, and we have to start the process all over again. So be warned if you don’t have a policy with them now, don’t bother – they are happy to take your money but not payout!!!

    Do not use if you need anything fast. They must have a textbook of fob-off excuses that they use. “It is against data protection to email your policy” yet they will happily send it to a random fax number! Having made at least ten calls I have spoken to one English person. I don’t have a problem with this but communication is clearly a huge problem with this company. I suggest they spend less on their high-budget advertising and invest in some good old-fashioned Customer Service.

    To say I’m flabbergasted is an understatement! Having been a More Than insurance customer for 11 years, I’ve just received new policy docs for 2 elderly dogs. The cost is now £166.00 per month!! Now being a savvy shopper Ive just got a brand new quote for the same dogs with More Than only to find that its just £50 per month for both! How on earth can they justify giving a new customer over £100 discount per month (thats £1200 per year!)? To put things in perspective, we own 2 cars and a motorcycle and the insurance for all 3 of those is half what it is for the dogs. There’s no wonder people can’t afford pet insurance when companies rip their customers off like this…I’ve now gone elsewhere for insurance and got it even cheaper.
