    This company does not give full support during a period of claim I regretted having used them as the replacement car which I paid for during a claim period was taking off me 1 week before money was cleared in account.

    The worst insurance company I have ever come across.

    Do not use. Run with your money to competitors.

    Be warned they are awful!
    When I joined in 2013 I had my wedding ring listed as a specific item worth under £2,500.
    Their policy stated I didn’t need a separate valuation for items under £2,500.
    Fast forward to 2017 my ring broke the rebuild cost is £2,500 they refuse to pay out the full cost wait for it…
    Because their small print in their terms and conditions changed and I had not sent them a valuation!!!!!
    Awful awful customer service
    Wouldn’t recommend them to my worst enemy!

    Worst company ever to deal with, car was in accident months ago and still not repaired.. agreed to hire a similar car, emailed over agreement I asked for named driver to be added… now they won’t do anything… don’t just go by price worth a bit extra money to get a service that you would expect after you’ve been involved in accident… complaints department is a joke…Avoid at all cost!!

    Knocked my laptop of the table and it died.
    Had it insured specifically cos its expensive. They took it away and after a few days i was told it wasn’t covered as it was “wear and tear, deterioration over time mechanical failure.” This happened at the same time the laptop hit the ground…..which was convenient for them. If it had physical damage then maybe they could say it was a result from that but unfortunately for me it landed on its bottom and whatever broke inside was undetectable by them so basically tough luck. Though I should feel free to pay someone else to look at it and then esure will have the same people who looked at it the first time check it again. If i had the money to pay other people to look at it then I would have rather than rely on them.
    So glad I paid for the extra cover.
    No wonder the forums online say “if its broken, make sure if you send it to them with enough damaged so they cant weasel out of it.”
    Honesty gets you nothing.

    Completely lacking empathy and any compassion! AVOID USING THIS COMPANY FOR TRAVEL INSURANCE AT ALL COSTS!! My poor dad booked a holiday in February for this week whilst experiencing what he was told was IBS by his doctor, not debilitating and so he booked a holiday thinking it could be stress related. In may my dad was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer, we found out in June it was stage 4. Of course one of the most aggressive forms of cancer he cancelled his holidays as he is now receiving chemo and cannot go away. The company will now not pay out his money because apparently he was ill in February when he booked the holiday!!!! WE DID NOT KNOW IT WAS CANCER UNTIL MAY !!! Absolutely fuming! Way to kick a man when he is down! Heartless and evil! He’s now out of work and needs that money for his treatment!!!

    I was an Esure customer till very recently but I will never take out a policy with them again and will advise my family and friends to avoid them at all costs!!!
    My experience started when a lorry crossed into my lane on a roundabout and totalled my car. When I got home and phoned Esure the women who took my call was good and caring but that’s where it started and finished!!!
    My policy included a like for like courtesy car immediately after the incident. They never got back to me about my courtesy car for 48hrs!!!My car was a Ford Focus because I have a small child,wife and dog. The car they said they would provide was a Toyota Aygo!!!! When I explained this would be to small they said that’s all I could get and that I would have to pay extra to get a larger car which I did at a tune of £5 a day!!!
    To make matters worse the rental company phoned me 72hrs later and informed me that I had to return the car as the insurance company would not be paying for the car past that day!!! I called Esure and they explained that because they had made me a cash offer as my car was a write off they did not have to pay for the courtesy car. I explained I needed a car for the next 3 days as I had work night shift in the emergency service and also put my child into nursery. They told me that I would just have to pay to keep the car myself!!! Which I did at £25 a day!!!
    The customer care and empathy displayed by Esure over my incident has left my with no confidence at all in this Insurance company!!!!

    Right so after years with Direct Line and Admiral i chose to switch to a cheaper insurance provider, and i regret signing up with Esure. In a nutshell I spoke to call centre operative who was so strict, did not understand my situation, did not assist, and said “you have said over the phone this will be noted and you cant go back on it”. SADLY the supervisor who i spoke to after said the same.

    The long story – All i called up for was to see if i could change the address where my car could be kept. Past 2 months, I got married, brought a house (so money is not spare). My previous house is still owned by family. The first operative said how many days will the car be there, i said 3 and 3 at new address. He said no, there are 7 days a week, where will it be? I said okay 3 days old address and 4 days new address. That is when he then read of a nazi script. Kept saying that my call is recorded it and i have basically confirmed it.

    Because i have the option at keeping at both addresses, i did not want to pay alot when i don’t need to. Both addresses are near to each other. But the first operative Alex did not let it go. After being very calm i asked to speak to a superviser she only issued the same stance. This is straight out of the park Esure policy to instruct their staff like this. They kept saying the call is recorded, but i didnt even say anything incriminating, i didnt confess to a crime, my car was not broken or damaged or anything. If that is how they treat customers, how much more so their own staff?

    My wifes insurance Hastings, were fine only charged Admin fee, but Esure quoted £57. When i called up for my wife, Hastings were ever so friendly, happy and kind.

    I understand that there is sadly an “admin fee” i understand that some areas are more dangerous than others. BUT here is the point

    ESURE never asked if the car is kept in a garage, under CCTV, or anything like that. They were just after the money.

    In October someone went into the back of my car and they instructed IME law to handle the case, which they have done such a shambles and caused such stress. Strangely Esure don’t use IME law now as Alex pointed out.

    I regret with a passion taking insurance with Esure. I’d rather go with a company i can trust. Sadly this is not one of them. Please reconsider.

    After a 3rd party decided to drive into the side of my car whilst parked I was forced to submit a claim. Esure said their policy was to claim against my own insurance first until the 3rd party accepts liability. The incident was caught on CCTV however esure failed to request the footage and did not investigate the claim. Obviously cheaper for me to foot the cost rather than esure to actually do their job. From numerous complaints it is evident from the outset esure had no intentions of following up the claim. Now awaiting response from the ombudsman.
    Do not use!

    Very disappointed with this company, charged me £150 to change my car insurance over so I cancelled policy and ended up just over £130 out of pocket. Just seem to want to see how much money they can get out of you. I will never use them again, staff were ok to talk too but did bare minimum, I got the feeling they were just going through the motions and didn’t care if I cancelled or not.

    The word SERVICE is really unknown to them. This is something from Mars to them. They always treat you like a lower class citizens even you are paying for their profit. The way they talk to you it seems they are a charity organisation paying to feed you.

    was with esure first time in my life had to make small claim shower left on upstairs bathroom result damage to kitchen work top swelling mortice joints same with laminate floor loss adjuster came out said no sign of damp in bathroom but remove pop out lights in kitchen because they were still wet and tripping electrics the told by esure rep maybe it came from dishwasher never heard of anybody having dishwasher in bathroom asked agent why loss adjuster why remove lights if not damp then told they would send out another loss adjuster from same company [BV SOLUTIONS] manchester decided to cancel claim and have no more to do with esure
    there customer service must have training fro gestapo the try to make out your at fault and guilty of being fraudulant

    Terrible!! Do not use!! According to their small print one has to pay to cancel THEIR own insurance. Day light robbery!! Will not be using ever again!

    Do not take any care insurance extras out with this company as I went to cancel my policy as I sold my care and was told it was 135 to cancel because of extras on my policy. This is totally out of order – never again will I get insurance with this company. I can’t wait until the renewal of my other car so that I can cancel that.

    Been with esure for one year,no issues as did not have to change details or make a claim.
    Checked my policy as I knew renewal was approaching. Checked on there website and it stated in would receive a letter regarding the renewal 20 days before it is due.
    No letter or contact from them at all.
    Then a text arrived stating to call them to renew.
    The text stated to call 7 days after the policy expired.
    Luckily I called them on the day of renewal and was told I got the text because the auto renewal failed,I had a new bank card so they had expired numbers.
    I queried the renewal price this was £130 more than the original policy.
    I canceled the policy and went with a different insurer for £116 cheaper than the first year, effective saving
    By not renewing £246.
    Will not be using esure again or recommending to anyone.

    Had my bikes stolen last week, this week esure has sorted out replacements… Turning a horrible experience into a much better one! Great, fast customer service. Big thanks to Mercia who dealt with my claim

    Still waiting for replacement door 5 Months after burglary – esure contractors completely incompetent. Our builder would have fitted within a month, so why do we have to use Glass Solutions, pay our excess to them too – you’d never pay anyone then wait over 5 months for service! Unbelievable – couldn’t even measure a door properly.

    5 Years with them means nothing!
    Customer Services are very bad and they couldn’t give two hoots about it’s customers !
    Over a year ago I contacted them regarding my renewal Quote, Asked them to do better as it had gone up from the year before by £100 even though I have no points on my licence and never made a claim while with them.
    They did not give a stuff and told me to go online if I think I can do better! I just insured with them as I had no insurance on my car and needed to go out in it, otherwise I would have taken their advice , clearly they do not want to keep their safe driving customers.
    My cover is now up again soon and just before it was due , eSure contacted me saying due to their policy they have removed my Legal cover and I am not entitled to a hire car if I now make a claim, If I want this included again I will have to pay extra! I told customer services I am trying to save money , not add it, and it should be against the law for them to change my policy after I had agreed to it but its in the small print, they can do as they want once you sign up with them, a bit like the mobile phone companies changing your fixed rate monthly contract!
    My insurance is due now so I phoned them to renew, I ask them to do better with the quote they sent me, They refused to look and told me to go online at esure and I may get it cheaper, then I asked them to put me through to the retention department otherwise I will leave them for good, They would not put me through to them and just told me they can deal with this, Then informed me that I have not been covered for the last 5 years with them because my full name is not on the policy. I said “You are a joke, Just a scam not to pay out if I needed to make a claim!, and why has no one informed me of this problem before! Reply from Customer Service “It is in your policy small print, you should have read it”. I told them you are now making me want to leave you for good now and they relied with “ok bye”
    Shock , Horror, Gasp! They are at Number 20 in the Which Report 62% , how the hell they even did that I do not know! Should not have even made it on the list!
    Liverpool Victoria was number 3 on the list in which, I contacted them and I got it cheaper than esure and it includes Hire Car and Legal Cost at no extra cost!
    So I will see how it goes with LV!! got to be better than eSure, as they don’t even give a **** that I have left after 5 years with them!!

    Esure were the cheapest insurer for my elderly 4 wheel drive, the deal was more than acceptable! However my car was due a service and the garage rang the afternoon before my service with the reg of my courtesy car, apparently they insist on fully comp cover. As I needed a cover note the following morning email would not be quick enough, the customer service number is available onliine….but its an 09number £2.00 a minute. mmm if it takes 10 minutes to sort out the issue the price doesn’t seem quite so good. Beware……
