    I have waited 13 months so far and still waiting for them to sort my claim when my car was nicked.I have passed on to them all the information the police told me. I have had to call them they have not called me even when I asked them to let me know what was going on all I got was we will do then nothing from them at all. If this is there service to there customers they can keep it

    I took out a policy paid in full then after 6 days tried to contact them, I emailed 7 times, I kept filling in their online forms for a reply, I eventually phoned them from my mobile as I was desperate to resolve a problem it cost me £15 to sit on hold then speak to a uninterested soul with no idea who could only suggest a different department which I would have to pay for once again to call. After getting nowhere only 7 days in I cancelled well within the 14 day cooling off period they have charged me £100 in total to cancel even though stating a £45 charge, now they are not refunding as they say I have not returned my insurance certificate that I never even received. I’m still out of pocket £463 after having 6 days of supposed cover. Take it from me with this company once you click it’s too late – you’re doomned. Any company that users the same phone number for its customer service line as rip of (premium) lines is rubbish and don’t be fooled by thinking you can just email them as these get ignored. End of rant.

    eCar insurance is an on-line only company, who wanted to charge an extra £128 because I changed my car! This was on a Toyota Starlet worth nothing with 11 months to go on the policy. It was cheaper to cancel the policy and go elsewhere. Now they saying they won’t refund on the 11 months because I can’t return the certificate, the certificate they didn’t send to me because they’re an on-line only company! Avoid, even if they’re the cheapest

    After 3 years with this company, I must say my payment is really cheap at £19.00 a month, but they never email you or they take ages getting back to you and the first time I started getting insurance with them was absolute hell. I sent all the relevant documents to them signed for at the other end but they said they never got any and I sent some quite harsh and frankly abusive emails to them because they are rubbish at communication and simply dont get back to you for ages. I’m currently waiting for correspondence from them as I’ve paid for my renewal fee and its 5 days till my tax is due and I’ve recieved no policy through the post nor can I download and print one off to take to the post office and dvla say I have no insurance when I went to apply for a tax disc online??? so am i driving round with no insurance even though I’ve paid? Do not go there with this company ever!

    Do not use this service …I took out car insurance and sent in drivers license and proof of no claims, posted 2 copies and emailed twice, eventually had to send by signed for delivery so now I have proof of receipt…They cancelled my policy after taking deposit and a months premium leaving me stranded 300 miles from home with no cover. I phoned their £1.02 per min helpline and although I was very polite and they admitted they had signed for my documents they hung up on me !! The call cost me £9.00. Just dont go there with this complaint. I feel totally stitched up. If you have problems with Ecar get in touch with the ombudsman for car insurance. Do not let them get away with it !!!

    Thanks, ecar insurance. You wouldn’t transfer my insurance to my new car, stole half of my remaining policy in what your own employee described as a ‘fine’ for ending my policy early (which I didn’t actually want to do) and now I’ve got my phone bill – £28 in charges for the ‘pleasure’ of talking to you!!
